As Chief Financial and Business Officer at Blue Meridian Partners, Kay oversees the management and strategic advancement of the organization’s financial infrastructure and business systems. In this role, she ensures the effective and efficient functioning of financial operations, including accounting, budget development, planning and reporting, and grant, tax, audit, cash, investment, and partner capital management for Blue Meridian. Kay leads Blue Meridian’s Finance team, and as a member of senior leadership she also provides strategic support and guidance for the growth and development the organization.
Kay has spent over twenty years working in banking, management consulting, private equity and private equity-backed businesses, and she has extensive experience working globally on organizational transformation and financial operations in growth and turn-around environments. Prior to joining Blue Meridian, Kay was Chief Transformation Officer and Chief of Staff at Natura &Co Group, a global beauty company that now owns the Avon brand, leading efforts on new market entry, new ways of working, and plans for a global shared services platform. Before its acquisition, Kay worked with Avon where she was placed by Cerberus Capital Management’s Private Equity Operational arm to lead transformation efforts, merger and acquisitions, and integration planning. Previously, Kay was an Operating Executive working across many of Cerberus’ private equity investments in Europe, and she has also worked at Ernst & Young, and AlixPartners.
Kay received a BA in Law from Keio University in Tokyo, Japan and holds an MBA from London Business School.
