Rayane works closely with colleagues on the Learning, Evaluation, and Measurement team and across the organization in developing and implementing Blue Meridian’s comprehensive, integrated, cross-organizational learning, evaluation, and measurement strategy.
Prior to joining Blue Meridian, Rayane served as Chief Research Officer at Research for Action, an education research nonprofit focused on racial equity and community engagement, where she oversaw and restructured the organization’s research enterprise to align it with the national grantmaking landscape and the organization’s mission.
Rayane brings over 20 years of applied research and evaluation experience in nonprofit, preK-20, community, and government settings. She has held various positions leading research teams and a wide range of experimental and mixed methods studies aimed at understanding what works and for whom and translating findings into program or policy improvement and technical assistance. Prior to relocating to the U.S. from her native Lebanon, Rayane worked with the International Medical Corps where she led economic recovery and early childhood education programs for war-affected families and communities, helped integrate mental health services into public health clinics, and served as a liaison with UN agencies and local government officials. She also served as an undergraduate instructor, advisor, and researcher at the American University of Beirut and the Lebanese American University.
Rayane holds a Master’s degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD) in Human Development and Social Policy from Northwestern University, and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut.
